No mention of local 4x4 option on MY16.5/17 Octavia RS?

Shame it is only being offered with diesel & DSG.

I was holding off buying one when I heard the 4x4 rumor a few weeks ago, thought it I might be able to VAG hack a Golf R Wagon.

I'm guessing if it is offered in Oz, a release time around same time as RS230?

The AWD RS Diesel will NOT be offered in oz.
Head of skoda oz confirmed it a few days ago.

The RS230 will only be the new addition to the local lineup.

You can understand them not sending every variant out here really.
Skoda is slowly increasing its presence in Aus but the sales numbers are really not that large and every major variant requires some sort of homologation/spares/support which can be expensive.
I have to admit I still get a buzz driving a car that is not that common on our roads and is unappreciated by the general public. More fool them.

Any predictions on what changes might be offered for MY16.5/17 RS models?

    Active dampeners?
    Rallye Green Metallic?
    Blind spot monitoring?

Does anyone know how they manage to add 4x4 to the Scout and keep the same luggage volume?
Either estate list 588L, is there a void in the FWD cars where the rear diff. should be or just a bigger spare?
I've had a quick view of 4x4 Golf and Passat, both seem to have smaller rear cargo volumes then their FWD counterparts.
Happy to be told my observational skills are lacking...

Heard nothing, unlikely we will see an MY16.5 mine has just been built so if they do change it I'll get whatever it is. Green is unlikely. At best we could hope to get lane guidance seeing as the scout has it.

I'm happy to get red, our current one has white. They said all along we were not getting this AWD, from the outset I thought it was actually UK only let alone here. There is no logical reason apart from VW dealers not wanting something to steal R wagon sales away.
