    Newly arrived stocks

Went to Skoda dealer last week to test drive the fabia RS, they got some new stocks of occy RS (came with the shipman of Fabia RS), there was a liftback in the show room, asking price 45k+, don't even come with leather. Salesman said the price is pretty strict atm, because these are new stocks. How they suppose to compete with Golf GTI, just for being more practical? Not to mention Golf is on drive away deals until June 30.

Also, Red stitching interior is available, Black wheels isn't.(according to the salesperson)

does the octavia RS not come with RNS510 and reverse sensors as standard?
plus i was looking at a demo golf gti in a dealership as budget would not stretch to new when they told me the free on roads would bring the GTI very close to the demo. I then asked for a plain white one. got told 2 days later no white lift at runout price and only gti left all had options that put them close to 50k. ended up with a polo gti instead

I prefer to have an cheaper Occy RS without the GPS and reverse sensors(if there is one).

What I am trying to say is, I don't find those extras all that important.

I'm still waiting for my new TSI Octy RS wagon to arrive - hopefully should be here mid July. This was not car they had on stock either, it was ordered on request.

I ended up sourcing mine via Stratton Finance and saving around $6000 off the on-road list price (in Victoria where stamps are the highest in Oz). With Bluetooth, GPS, heated seats and more, I didn't need to spend anything on extras. To option a Gold GTi to a similar standard will certainly pop it up to or over $50k.

So, there are deals to be had still - just maybe not directly through the dealers. I had 2 separate dealers in Melbourne quote me $4000 more than I ended up paying for the exact same thing.

I'm not going to spruike about my Stratton contacts, but if anyone wants help in Melbourne with sourcing any VAG car, I can give you the number.
