New Satnav map available for Columbus

It can be accessed here Update portal. You'll need your VIN.

Took about 15 hrs to download. You then need to unpack it to an SD card (min 32gb). Then follow the instructions on the website to update the car's software, which takes about an hour.

May not be applicable for MY15 and earlier. Been trying to get this for ages but no luck. If you can share the download link here (the link that you get when you enter your VIN details to start download) I can try and see if it works.

There is an existing thread on this - MK3 Columbus ROW2015-2016 Map Update Link

It's not a link so much. The web page stays the same...just adds the download link after you enter your VIN. The file was 22gb.

This is the link I was referring to, you can see it when you put your mouse pointer over the download button.

And guess what, ours still shows the 2014 map. The download link would be very useful, although I don't know if we can update from it, we haven't been able to in the past.

Just checked this again. Once you have entered your VIN and it has established you qualify for the update (mine's an MY16, Aug 2015 build) you are presented with a legal disclaimer which you need to accept. You then need to accept their downloader app, which installs a piece of software on your pc which is linked to your VIN. You then run this software to download the update. Seems it's all very tightly monitored.

Sorry guys, but it seems it all links to the VIN of your car, which determines eligibility.

Just thinking about all this, maybe the issue with others trying to update in the past, is purely that your VIN hasn't had an update authorised so it fails.

ridiculous thing is that the subscription for mine ran out 2 months prior to delivery.
