Something to keep in mind is that my just built car and the OP both are MY16 which has an entirely new Columbus unit. So could be why the map versions are different based on VIN.

Supports my theory, maybe the ROW2016 maps are only for the new Columbus at this stage and the prior one hasn't had a file made yet.

It's a bugger finding SD cards now so got a micro SD with adaptor, still hoping they enable Bluetooth CarPlay on these soon as well, it's been on the phones themself since mid last year.

Same issue with cards, i ended up using an external harddrive. Worked a charm. I wonder other folks having trouble are getting all the files extracted? My second to last pass copying onto a card worked without an error but definitely only had MIB1 directory, and failed at install.

The latest file i downloaded has MIB1 and MIB2 ROW files, so I'd say they are there, in separate sub-directories.
the only thing i have never tried is a USB drive. Stay tuned for the next episode.

Mine only had the MiB1 folder in it too, so I deleted the file and tried to re-download it. Now every time I try to download it, it either fails or only downloads 2.1g worth.

I'm doing it on a mac and I found it hard to find a program to extract the file as the main programs all failed.

I might try and do it on a windows pc and see if I have better luck.

I have an iMac at home, I've already figured I will be doing it on my win7 work laptop as nothing like this ever works properly on Macs even if it is supposed to.

And it is a no go from the USB either. Conclusion, if it says Subscription Expired in the portal you cannot update maps and Skoda OZ nor dealers have any way to update the maps for you.

Have you asked them? My dealer has been checking with the area rep and Skoda HQ and between them all none know why some can do it and others can't. Seems like it's time to publically hammer Skoda on their Facebook page until they get themselves sorted.
