It seems like there are a lot of RS owners doing this exact mod. which is why I went with it.

I'm hoping it gets a bit louder with time, it's maybe a little too subtle for my taste.

Sport mode just uses the interior Soundakator which makes it sound like a 'fully-sick' WRX on the inside.

I'll see how this goes, I may end up with a full cat back in the end, I wouldn't mind a switchable one if possible, so I can make it quite on long drives with the 'fam' and then open it up when I having a drive by myself.

    Thanks for that Reza!!

It does sound much better and louder. Do you get any crackles and pops on over run or farts in up changes?

Definitely DSG farts on up change, the more throttle applied the louder it gets.

I can hear some pop and crackles lately on over run only when the engine is cold though.

Long weekend, time for some winter camping to Hill End...time for a proper drive!

Yoda did really well, very relaxing and easy car to drive, doesn't feel always on it's torque band like the diesel Jetta, but accelerates much harder when you need to. Overtaking was a breeze, the wife was impressed how quickly we got past trucks and caravans. The boot swallowed all our gear which included a large esky, the tent, sleeping bags, clothes, three tubs of food and equipment and a tarp.

The one negative, was boy does it drink some petrol!!!...especially compared to the old Jetta TDi. It used a whole tank getting there and back, (about 520km). I filled up 45litres on the way home, so it should have got another 50-60km. The Jetta would have used and indicated half a tank on the same trip, which we've done twice before.

After having the car ceramic coated last week, most of the dirt, mud and dust came of with a quick hose down after we got home yesterday afternoon, which was a big thumbs up!

If you drive like an undertaker, youll get alot more lol.
I've had 850km on a tank.. once, all motorway speeds (90-110) in eco

Also add to your list of mods to do asap is the Dogbone insert.
Few good ones around, 034, APR, CTS etc...
APR seems to be the strongest & newest the 034 would be my 2nd pick. I had a CTS and it broke with in a few months

I made a conscious decision to drive it normally, just to get a bit of a baseline for it's economy. I only used the 'Normal' mode as well. But I was a little surprised how much it used. The usage read 7.8l/100km for the trip which wasn't too bad I guess, just that on the same trip the Jetta was reading 4.2l/100km.

RE: doggone, I have noticed a little axle trap when getting off the line quickly, so yeah, may be next mod to come, the only thing that worries me is that quite a few people experience vibrations through the car after installing them.

I'm also making sure that I run it in properly by giving it a some nice full throttle bursts and just dropping gears every now and again so it's not doing constant RPMs to often.

The inserts are fine after a few weeks, as they mould to the bush.
I've got the HPA puck and mount and yes it has a lot of vibration, but its ok.

Yea I did a hard run in for the first 100km, 2nd & 3rd near redline, then roll it down near stopped, then back up
then 101-1000 was prob a bit harder again, then dropped the oil, but you know all this from the time line.

Don't forget a fresh engine will always chew more fuel.... took my rs245 atleast 5k before I started to see some real solid and consistent figures.

I seen on your video you used Frank to detail your car.... Does he not offer BRILA anymore or did you get a choice?
