    Well I was considering a 90STI wagon for $22K from SA. The lowest from the dealers there is on carsales is $19K and somone has as tasty 103TDI wagon for $35K

    Not many 90TSIs on here at all it seems and even fewer liftbacks. I don't care for a base model car it sure seemed good value and easy enough to modify to fit sat nav, bigger wheels and so on.

    andrew_aus, as far as I'm aware we have two here one owned by the Solitaire group and the other by the Jarvis group. Either way a no now could very easily turn into a yes before the end of March.

    Sounds like it's worth a trip to Melbourne! If you can negotiate a price (eg. with the dealer mentioned in this thread) then it's just a quick plane trip and slightly slower ride home in your new car.
