Just got word my car is on the Tirranna, the ship has left the UK and is headed to the US then Panamá canal due Auckland 07/07/15 then Melbourne 12/07/15 if all goes to schedule.

Good news,
went to another dealer in Sydney and said i knew someone in Vic who got a certain price on the Ambition plus. He said he could do very close which he did and I ended up with a fraction under 9% discount on an MY16 Ambition plus with Tech pack, Auto boot, extended warranty and metallic paint.

I had spoken to him on the weekend regarding cars that he has that qualified for the 1.2% finance offer and had a good vibe. Really easy to deal with and i now have paid a deposit and have my invoice. If people are interested i'm happy to give details.

thanks to Brad helping me see sense and a big thanks to Beeker who i was able to use your recent purchase to price mine. Will find out next week on approx times, they have some on order already they may be able to switch which could speed it up a little.

Anyway out of curiosity when do people generally pay the remainder of the invoice? I'm hoping close to delivery but would like to see what others experiences are.

You pay your invoice out on the day you pick up the car. You have the choice of arranging finance with Skoda or with an external provider, in which case you give them cheque along with any other finance arrangement you have made.

I have received the following update from the dealer, "I have finally had word from Patrick’s Auto Care in regards to the transportation of your vehicle to our dealership. We will be expecting the vehicle at our Pre Delivery Department on Thursday at 330pm. Once I have the vehicle in our ”hot little hands” I will prepare the vehicle for delivery.

Thank you for your patience again and I will ensure that your delivery process is an enjoyable experience. I will keep you updated with a delivery date and time".

After more than 12 months waiting I am not getting excited but fingers crossed we may be asked to collect our car this Saturday.

From memory, there wasn't much in stock which qualified for the 1.2% finance back in April when we ordered our car. We were after a manual, which meant that our vehicle had to come from interstate...

Yes you're correct, no ambition + with tech packs, there were a couple with Sat Nav but at $2.7k i really couldn't justify the cost. It was worth calling around anyway as i got a feel for the sales guys and as it turned out the one i got the best vibe with gave me a deal straight up.
