At the end of the day though, buy from whoever gives you the best deal. Throw some numbers about (spec in configurator, take 8-10% off and say if he agrees to that, you'll sign today.)

Good luck! This time next month I should have my car. From being hopeful when I ordered at the start of May (before the huge factory issues really stuck their neck out) to it being 3-4 months.....to the sad reality it will be just over a week shy of 7 months......

The most disappointing thing about the whole experience isnt the dealer (well, hoping when it turns up it's a manual with the options I ordered!) but the attitude that Skoda aus have in dealing with customers. It sucks, and I mean SUCKS. I've never spoken to a more rude, arrogant bunch of people who wont even admit they have some terrible supply issues, and that we get screwed in the australian market. It would be much better if we got a similar deal to the UK (where skoda rates highest for customer satisfaction) - the stories on Briskoda of how they get treated are amazing!
Seven months GTR27! You will be very pleased to get your prize.

We have to remember well, that the Octavia is Skodas' Golf, yes? A mechanical duplicate of the Golf yes? But with much more to offer, when the Golf is smaller by a noticeable margin, yes? And the Mk7 Golf GTi has no wagon option yet, yes? Plus you can get a pseudo Golf Mk7 Golf and with TDI and in a wagon too, yes? And Skoda prices are smaller, yes? So is dealing with Skoda Aus worth the ownership experience, yes? What else?

Around 3 months ago, I rang Skoda Aus with a reasonably easy query, will the option packs include Tow Bar Acc Kit? 'we will refer this and call you back!'. Still waiting...... will they call, i do not think so. GTR27 your right they do not care!

Cheers Al
