We just committed to a VRS hatch in race blue. 1622 TSI DSG with tech pack and black pack. The wait begins. 8% is achievable. Also took up the 2 years extended warranty at 1195. Btw tech pack is now being priced at $1900.
Wonder if the DSG helps in anyway to even out power, hence reduce axle tramp. I'm Stage 1, with superaloy control arms and dog bone insert (admittedly it's only a soft 70 one) and I'm still getting axle tramp around the 5000-5500rpm in first gear!!!
And the reason why I commented on the eibach's assisting is that Martin has the eibachs and he doesn't get axle tramping either. I'm wondering if the lower/stiffer springs helps keep some of the weight of the car centralised more over the front axle, thus reducing the potential for axle tramping?

The eibachs definitely help...
Ive got eibachs and also used to have a dog bone insert and after I took it out I didn't notice much difference personally... I have stage 2 bluefin also.
I may also do new shocks but I think next car I'll definitely do springs and shocks as it just keep the Tyres on the ground...

Normally $1650 so the discount was reasonable. Looked over the booklet for it and it is a full factory warranty extension of the standard 3 year warranty. I discussed the potential of Skoda making the standard warranty 5 years and there are no whispers out there. No precedent in the VW group either as far as I know.
One other point, the extended warranty can be purchased anytime up to delivery but not after.

Benmac, which dealer? and how much driveaway?
Just committed to a Ambition Plus DSG wagon in silver with dealer fitted front sensor and ready to be pickup in August
Have to say I had a great time at Frankston Skoda with John, the sales manager of Skoda Frankston, he showed my wife and I both Golf and Octavia wagons side by side and we test drove both. I was surprised that the VW Comfortline wagon could not live up to the handling of the Skoda, despite having multi-link on VW vs torsion beam on the skoda. The 16inch wheels on the vw makes the car sway side to side and rolled a bit too much, my wife's comment was, "It feels like riding on a boat, I don't feel good in this"
Highly recommend John if anyone is looking for either a VW or Skoda vehicle. He can price up either brand.
Also, according to him, the MY15 build mainly affect the ambition trim with touch screen as standard. I didn't ask about RS though. Now I just need to find some metal pedal covers.

Dumb Q, does the VRS have heated seats? Had a look at the UK brochure and the AUS one but couldn't see any reference on the AUS site.
