Was quoted $~45k for a Steel Grey one with the Black Pack today.
Should note that it is the 135TDI with DSG.
Good info. It is kind of funny that the Octavia can get the 8" sat nav while the golf mk7, even the GTI cannot. Plus the fact that the voice activations works flawlessly makes it extra amusing.
Edit: apparently the new Golf R in Au also can't option the discover pro 8" either

Sedan? No sunroof? How do those costs breakdown as far as drive away and then discount?
Wagon, no sunroof.
The guy I spoke to was pretty straight to the point to say that dealers only get approximately $100 either way for discounts. From what I can recall, the Black Pack was ~$500.
Sadly, it'll be three? Months before the diesel is available for purchase. And the ones on the floor/yards at the moment are pre-week 23 models. Post week 23 production included options like.
Driving Mode Selection
Automatic Parking Assist and acoustic front and rear parking sensors
Advanced Keyless Entry including Smart Start (KESSY) and Alarm
Adaptive Cruise Control including Front Assist with City Emergency Brake
So might have to wait a bit. Sorry I can't be more helpful than that.
Was quoted $45930 driveaway for a tsi wagon with dsg, blackpack $500, Canton $600, Auto tailgate $490 and alarm $400. Prices and options are on skodas website too,

So DD does that drive away price include the cost of all the extras you've shown?
If so that's a pretty damn good price IMO.
Yep, though the dealer added the price of the options after the driveaway rrp of $43,940. Don't know if thats correct or not. Either way I'm holding him to that. Going for a test drive and getting a final price over the weekend. Don't need the tech pack stuff so hopefully i can get a good deal and the car in a reasonable time frame.

$45,500 for a Steel Grey TSI Liftback DSG w/ 19 black and tech pack at its current holder price ($3300). I expect the tech pack price to drop so I've put in the contract that it will be re-calculated if it drops, I might pick and choose some options if not.
MY16 Octavia RS 162 Race Blue Combi
MY12 Skoda Octavia RS 147 Black Combi - Sold
That is a similar number to what I have. 44600 for a Metal Grey TSI Liftback DSG, 18 Black Pack and Tech pack priced at 2800 with adjustment as required when pricing is out. The difference in my Tech Pack and 18" black pack accounts for 1000 and I got a quote for 44600. I cant decide if it is a good price or not
On the one hand it is in short supply and you get a lot for your buck. On the other hand it is only about a 4% discount, the dealer has no carry costs for my order, it is the end of the month and the end of the financial quarter as well.
^ This quote above, looks a bit much. I would expect a man liftback with a sunroof or something in that vicinity to be around 40k driveaway tops. VW/Skoda charge stupid driveaway costs so those can be dropped to start with. The pack is harder to argue as theoretically they are a discounted bundle.
It's early days but I can't see them doing free onroads for non existant floor stock the end of each yr, so they had better come up with some better deals if people have to wait months. I bought in their second year, a man blue hatch with a sunroof and front parking sensors for 37k driveaway and in the end had another $1k thrown towards a tradein by VW to get the sale done. I'm not expecting quite that good a deal again as the same dealers were bought and became arrogant, but would still expect the same kind of deal for about 2k more plus any tech packs.
