Another reason for me to stick with Mk II - they will be a nice little luxury on a cold winter morning in Tassie!

Nope cant find heated seats option anywhere. As I mentioned previously rain sensing wipers and auto headlights is only available in the tech pack option for the Ambition PLus but is standard on the Elegance.

So now I have a Scout with auto lights, rain sensing wipers and heated seats. I'm going to have to get a top of the line Octavia to get these again. Big disincentive for me to change up.

Wait and see if the RS has heated seats. It probably won't, but you never know. Our drivers side is playing up since we moved the seat up and down earlier in the year. The dealer wants to pull the whole seat out to figure it out. I would have thought running checking current in the wires would be a smarter option first before that

Apart from the cold mornings, my wife often used the seat warmers to help with her shoulder problems.

I don't mind buying top of the line to get all of the bells and whistles, but I certainly mind paying top price to discover there is a bell or two short!

I used to use it to free up my frozen lower back, but in all reality a seat heater is not really essential in Australia no matter how cold we think it gets here.

Went for a ride in the back of a new Octavia 132TSI wagon this morning in Brisbane (courtesy lift to city)...very very nice!
Plenty of leg and head room...I can see myself in one of those...

Agreed, it's a very comfortable and spacious car. The 132TSI is quick too. I was really surprised just how fast it was in real world use. Felt at least as responsive as my Polo GTI.

I was just thinking that it would be the same as my Polo GTI but bigger..... But Midas well get the vRS. Why get a new car, same specs as your current one! (Engine wise)

Different engine. It's the mighty 1.8tsi. No supercharger to worry about. Less likelihood of oil consumption issues. More grunt. More amenable to a remap.

    You can't beat cubic inches!

While slower, the turbo rush from the 1.8 is more thrilling in my sisters 1Z 118tsi than it was in my old Polo GTI
