New Octavia ....when? How Much?

Just wondering if anyone knows if the Rear View Camera will be available as an optional part of the Tech Pack across the entire Octavia range or just the RS?

It's standard in the Tech Pack when you order the car from now on and built after week 22. Which all Octavia's optioned with the Tech Pack are built from week 22. (June 27th)

I just returned from Southern Classic cars they have a white RS wagon and liftback, both TSI DSGs. Rather underwhelmed, both seem rather plain. The interior of the leather Elegance is nicer. With the previous model there was a big jump from the Standard to the vRS, not so now the Elegance is in the lineup. Exterior doesn't seem that much nicer either.

Wait you're not getting the black pack? Probably the only factory order without it

I don't want the black grill or black sills, it'll be exactly like on my current polo GTI. The door frames are black. Once you wash the car once and dry it, it leaves faint scratch marks on it...

Fair enough, which colour? Silver looks quite nice without the black pack.

That's not the Black Pack!

Though it does have black 'rubber' door frames.... Chrome Pack makes them Chrome (Really Brushed Aluminium that matches the roof rails) and Black Pack is Black Grill and Mirrors and Black (Really Piano Black) around the windows.

For those curious about the difference, the car in the pic above has neither the black pack or the chrome pack. On the Liftback the chrome pack only adds it on the lower line whilst the wagon its both lines. Both cars below have the chrome pack.

Ah, so that is why is is double the price on the Estate...

IMHO looks a bit naff on the Liftback. Half hearted effort like on the new Mercedes GLA etc.
