And the Tech Pack was still the same price as the Elegance - even though RS already included a number of items on the Elegance including the 1750 bixenons, and just adds the reverse camera which is at most half that. Unless they decide to add the side mirror in the Tech Pack as well.

Its just a placeholder price. No way can they get away with charging the same amount. Wish the RVC was a standalone option. May end up retrofitting it at a later date.

non starter for me. according to the dealer, VW has been dumping prices on the Tiguan so I was offered less than half of what I paid for the car with just 17,000km, leather/electric seats, Adaptive Chassis Control suspension, bixenon, park assist 2 and RVC+.

Yup and in the black pack they are anthracite not silver. I was hoping metal grey would be slightly lighter. Next stop moon white!!

I was just quoted the list price but I did ask him if he'd take my decently spec-ed Tiguan July 2012 155TSI with 17k on the clock as a direct swap.

Almost every dealer will follow the redbook price, judging by your price Im guessing it was the case here?

You will always take a huge hit on a 2 year old car, right in the steep part of the depreciation curve. I would keep it if I was you. Why were you considering a change?
