Yes, and only other advantage to Tig is AWD traction, but with trick diff and traction control probably not that necessary?!
Wondering if anyone knows whether the Columbus Satnav includes map updates?
Been caught before (with Subaru and Toyota) where they sting you ridiculous amount for update discs (done by Sensis)......

Depending on the dealer they'll include when they become available and do it during a service. Just ask them?

Fair enough, won't be for a while yet (probably) anyway - done too much to the Tig to get rid of it too soon

Far out I want one of these badly...
White Wagon, TSI, Manual, Tech Pack, 19" black pack, Auto Tailgate..

Anyone gets this i'll buy it off them in 2-3 years... Then straight to the shop to get eibach springs, whiteline rear sway bar and stage 1 tune... I seriously cant think of any other car that can deliver all of that at the same price point, same quality, same features, same options, same drive ability, SAME SPACE and good looks... definitely one of the best cars on the market at the moment...

Apart from the 19's (I live in the country), that is what I was going to order but was concerned no one would want a manual when I went to sell it so was considering DSG...

That's my plan. Well that and my current car is only 2 yrs old and not due for swapping until late next yr! I think it will be a my16 for me whatever that entails. Hopefully means all the bugs are fixed by then.

Yeah the 8 variants of the PCV valve in the mk2 TFSI RS must have just been a coincidence....also the 4 or so variants of DV. Probably by the time I get one if its the MY16 the engine may have gained a few kW based on previous cycles.

There is a strong possibity that there may be the Skoda A5 lurking around by end of next year as well.

It's probably a subject for another thread but I believe that as more people choose automatics manuals will start to achieve a premium price over autos - especially in vehicles with sporty pretensions.

I've owned many automatics in the past and they are great on land yachts like Chrysler by Chryslers, Fairlanes, etc & family runabouts but unless my driving suddenly becomes predominantly urban I think I'd rather stick with manuals - at least they seem to be consistantly reliable.

I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums

I'm still undecided but I guess that $2300 saving would pay for the Tech Pack... The only downer is that the Active Cruise works better (down to 0km/h) with the DSG - sigh.
