Ooooh, 'bout time the RS got the flat bottomed steering wheel...
Unfortunately, it looks a bit out of proportion in the pic, the centre pad is too big, it needs the smaller round hub like VW and Audi.

Interestingly, the RS on display at the Geneva Motor show has a flat bottom steering wheel, possible MY15 change?

Um sorry, but if this is the case... I might have to HOLD OFF until the update. I rather buy cars that have a longer life regarding updates. My current Polo GTI made in 2011, sold as 2012 and still current shape. Though it has original wheels, not the black and silver ones... they haven't updated it much. The new updated model will be out in 2015, maybe even late 2015 in Aus, different bumpers and new interior plus a Turbo only engine... i'm not phased...

The Skoda Octavia had a few updates, but mainly the interior remember? Then not else.... The life cycle in a car is sort of important as i'm a car guy... so once I know a certain car is seen to get updates then i'll hold off. The Opel Insignia was at it's end when released in Aus... then when Opel pulled from the country Europe was launching the updated version!

Golf cycle is too quick, Mazda 3 has been good. Skoda even better...

I was suggesting more a MY15 update, which starts around May production. So almost any factory ordered car will get it IF skoda is actually producing it.

It's kinda like the MY12.5 update of the Polo, where it got Bluetooth, MDI and RCD510 standard.

I talked to my dealer who said cars will be arriving next week and he'll be booking people in for test drives on monday. I'm on the list, looking forward to since I'm just a walk away from the dealer!

ive already seen one, didn't have flat bottomed steering wheel. we will start getting that later this year. the first ones we will see have already been manufactured.

Sure sign that I must be getting old that I wouldn't put off buying a car if the new model was going to have a flat bottomed steering wheel😉.
An extra 30Kw and 10℅ more fuel efficient would certainly have me waiting☺.

To be expected, no MY14 RS will have the flat bottom wheel, MY15 production isn't 'til week22

same with the LED tail and front DRLs that all current models here lack.

hopefully they make the wing mirrors a little larger too, and perhaps make the interior plastics better. somehow.....
