Came across this very (very) comprehensive review on an Indian website (don't worry, it's in English). Lots of pics and details.
Skoda Octavia : Official Review - Team-BHP
No floor stock.
I've noticed all the Indian reviews love the 1.8, I liked it but didn't think it was earth shatteringly better like the reviews suggest.

What Octavia kid said.
No stock of unallocated vehicles for chancers that need a car in any colour or any trim level "right now!"
So if I wrote my Octy off today & wanted to get into a Mk3 vRS then it's likely they wouldn't be able to supply & I'd have to trundle off & buy a Mazda6 or something.

Is the floor stock a dealer or VW Australia decision?
