Eco mode seems like a toy. Most people seem to just leave it in normal and drive however they want. Maybe you can use a custom setting and have the gearbox in eco, but throttle in normal?

Edit: boat docked and unloading. Judging by the vins, it appears mostly ambition and ambition+ on this boat. Expect to see lots on carsales soon...

For all of you who received your vRS TSI, just wondering if the car came with a hood silencing panel? Similar to this one - Octavia III - original Skoda Auto,a.s. hood silenting panel : superskoda.com.

The cars I looked at the dealer's didn't have them.

Tsi's don't come with them, TDI does. You can order the panel and put it on your TSI if you like though

Edit, that is all TSI engine cars don't come with the panel, and all TDI engine cars do (in the Octavia)

Anyone else know where I can get this vest to put under my seat? Should have come with my car - as should have the Ice Scraper to go in the Fuel Lid area (which I will order from SuperSkoda.com)

You don't get the ice scraper, refelective vest, warning triangle, first aid kit or fire extinguisher in Australia. What makes you think you would?

That's just a standard reflective vest you can buy at Bunnings for $6.50 or borrow from most work places (because you need a reflective vest for making a cup of tea). While at Bunnings you may as well get a warning triangle $10, a fire extinguisher $20 and a St.Johns First Aid Kit $20.

All the TDIs have them. If the MK2 is an indication, they seem to fit them to the TSI engines on a whim.

My 1.8tsi didn't have one but I had one fitted "under warranty" as the vRS had them fitted (pre-FL Mk2). In both thepre-FL & FL model, some petrol engines had them & some didn't.

They are used mainly as a heat insulator to help the engine heat up quicker & retain heat but they also help insulate the bonnet paint from engine heat & provide a small level of sound insulation.

You can buy them from AliExpress for half the price of what they are in AU.

Yes, for mk2 it was random (my fl rs TSI didn't have one) but was more commenting for mk3 Octavias.
