Just got my call from the dealer. He says my RS will be built as part of a batch in mid Oct with an ETA of late Jan or early Feb in Oz. Wouldn't/couldn't give a build week. It's a wagon with the tech pack ordered 2 July. Hopefully the boat tracking phase will start in the not too distant future.

Just got a call from the dealer highlighting that my car will be built in September for a January 2015 arrival date. Certainly meets that 6-7 month wait time!

Wouldn't want to be Jan delivery if it's built in September. Mine is due for sept 22 build (wk39) and I'm expecting it early/mid Dec......

Would be very, very upset if it got pushed back to Jan delivery.... 8 months for an ambition plus in that scenario....

Under-promise / Overdeliver.

Dealer is probably waiting until it's on the ocean then pull back the ETD. It's what I'd do.

I'm still hoping build week comes forward a bit..... Mine is only a provisional build week.

Great to hear people are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. I'm keen to hear how the ACC and park assist works on a manual, if anyone has spec'd it. Also, I think an update on the mystery of the missing vRS badge on the FBSW is due. The 'wrong' car I was delivered did not have the badge.

Will do. Regarding the missing badge, was there any empty slot or gap that the badge fitted in? I personally don't mind it without the badge but if its obvious that its missing then I'd try and rectify it through the dealer.

Are you sure you don't have mine by mistake...!

It isn't obvious that it's missing. In fact, you'll hardly notice it if you don't already know there is meant to be a badge.
