Not a lot to update, except they are looking under all the rocks to find a car similar to my spec in AUS (highly unlikely to find one). Skoda has informed me that it was a human error that the code changed, most likely at the dealers end. The state sales manager is now involved and in talks with the dealer principal. Worst case they'll order a new car and liaise with the factory on speedy delivery. I haven't ordered the ACC, APA or RC as part of the tech pack so should be build in 4 months. Should get a clearer picture today or tomorrow as to what the final verdict is.

Definitely don't have acc, front sensors or sunroof of you want it in 4 months....

I think that should be on the dealer, regardless of whether they entered something incorrectly or not. They own the customer relationship. My dealer suggested I sell my existing car privately rather than trade in to get a better financial deal, but if I sold it before my new one arrived they would provide a loan car for up to a month at no cost. So if my dealer could do that as part of a sale, yours should be able to do it to recover the relationship. And it works for my dealer - my vRS is the 3rd Skoda I have bought from her (including a car for my wife and my dad), and I would never go back to my first dealer.

I can see from most posts on this forum that people are passionate about the brand and are loyal repeat buyers. The dealers need to understand the value in that, and build/maintain customer loyalty to leverage it. Skoda AU is less likely to realise that because it is more of a numbers game with multiple dealers, although I also had a very good experience with them, when they honoured a warranty that expired several months earlier when I needed a complete engine replacement. (Timing chain slipped and pistons smashed up the engine) They covered the engine, I paid for labour. So credit where credit is due, and outcome is I'm waiting for my 4th Skoda to be delivered.

And my new car gets loaded on the Tirranna and departs Belgium on Saturday, so that is when I will advertise my old car.

well I picked up my new baby today from the Canberra Skoda dealership and I am very happy, an ex demo and not an RS like a lot of people, but I liked the Elegance when I test drove one, and since I got it within 2 weeks as opposed to waiting for one to be built and shipped, I am really not going to complain

I was at Car Care Product tonight to book my car in for Nanolex, and when I mentioned my car model, he mentioned a booking he was going to have with a Skoda... All the best and hope Skoda will fix you up ASAP!

Not surprised it was the dealer that stuffed up. When I posted that was likely the otter day it's because I realised the dealers enter things and Skoda HQ would be pretty unlikely to stuff it up with the automation. Could happen but more likely to be entered wrong locally. The annoying thing is that they probably knew this all along and didn't admit it. With the myriad of trade ins it's not hard to give you a car for a few months. Many dealers as above will loan one if needed.

Most people would take the DSG. I'd be pretty tempted if it added no cost but I do love my manual RS. What a pain.
