Yes AS documents are fun aren't they? Thousands of pages to trawl through for literally everything. I'm about to change into a construction related role, so will have to learn all the relevant AS to my discipline..... Fun times ahead!

I hope after reading the above posts my dealer can maybe clarify build date possibility....

When I come across an AS that I need to understand, I spend a bit of time and turn all the important points / requirements / "shall" statements into a check list so I won't have to trawl through the pages again.

Cheers for the tip..... Haven't had lots to do with them yet but already hate them! Doesn't help I changed from electrical to mechatronics so I have to learn even more standards. AS3000 was long enough!

Had a chat with my dealer and he has confirmed that we are looking at production for the first batch of Australian orders in July. Can expect delivery by September, one month out of initial ETA quoted.

So when you say first batch...... When would the order have to have been placed? I was start of may (7th I think). I'd be mighty upset if my car wasn't built by the end of July.... Seeing how it's over 8 weeks from build to delivery in oz. Especially seeing how it's not an rs.

So at what point will MY15 cars be put given the slow delivery on the MY14? Does anyone know the differences .

Mine was one of the first orders in Australia, end of March. I'm not sure if there is a cut off in terms of considering number of orders till a particular date or 'x' number of vehicle quota per batch in production. The other thing he said was who ever placed an order before June are lucky as they have a chance of getting the vehicle sooner. New AU orders are rumoured to only be produced by December or in 2015 as there is a delay in clearing current European orders.
