Big price difference between a R and RS though.

This is where I run into issues. I don't necessarily need the extra space the RS affords, but the R has so much power and tuning potential it's hard to ignore.
Reasons for the RS is that everything is latest tech with the exception of the gearbox but that's proven (as would the 7 speed from the TTRS if it makes its way into this spec level).
Terribly confused and I'm not sure it's a fair comparison to make but it's one I have to make nonetheless.
