Agree, our Elegance 132 is without heated seats (none on Aus-spec Octavias) and it is a glaring omission. I discussed this issue with the dealer when we first ordered the car and he agreed it was a really odd decision by Skoda Aus, especially since you can't even option them. They should be part of the Tech Pack if nothing else. I expect they will be included as part of MY16 update next year.

Did you all know heated seats are no good for male testicles. Any actually. Having that area heated raises the temperature (as that area already is a higher temp than the human body) thus destroying the produce it makes (putting in a sensible way) and later the testicles create less which is bad for the reproduction process.

Shame can't get seat coolers - too damn hot up here ( one reason I won't be getting leather again)

Wearing tighty-whiteys does the same thing.

For many of us, reduced production output would be a Godsend.

Could you run the AC out the floor vents & put some upward deflectors on the outlets under the seats?

Each to their own..... I have a MY13 VRS with heated seats, and I use them during winter to ease the pain in my back. The hottest part of the seat is in the lumbar support area where I need it most.

As for the tadpole count, I'm to old to remember what the reproduction process is all about.

    Cheers Fred

LOL I had no idea my q was going to go down this rabbit hole. I have myofascial pain in my hip from dodgy back and hammys so the heated seats in the CC make long distance trips easier in winter. Had never thought of it as a contraception idea, and lol not something I would depend on but yeah godsend. And scrolling down, I am in the same boat as Fred, I never thought of them until it was standard on the current car and now its just one of those things that help out on bad days a little bit.
Its started a conversation in my household that mirrors this thread, in the end it is a luxury and absolutely acknowledge that but its a funny how for me its become part of that purchasing decision making process.

Must have heated seats... Had them in my mkv gti, and now in my RS... If I don't have them in my next car, the misses will divorce me....

PS: anyone think that you can use the new dsg stick in the mk2 RS... Its sooo much nicer....
