It was just us postulating on here based on the contents and the discount on the other tech packs.
I was speaking to a salesman today and he said that the $3,300 tech pack was for the Elegance and this wouldn't be the same as RS as the RS already has the Bi Xenons and these are ~$1,900 option. His guess was around $2,000-$2,200 but he was still waiting on firm pricing.

More reader here, then poster, but bit of a Skoda fan and thought this one seemed well priced, would be a nice replacement for my brilliant little Polo if I were to sell it. If I were to upgrade, would go for something bigger, like a Octavia.
2013 Skoda Octavia NE Elegance 103TSI MY14 Direct-Shift Gearbox
Popped into my local Skoda dealer this afternoon for a look at the Octavia RS. Still deciding between wagon and liftback. Have decided on candy white, manual, Gemini (anthracite) wheels, Canton sound.
Dealer claims there are no manual transmissions in Oz and the test drive will be in a DSG. If I want one I have to order it without ever test driving a manual box and delivery will be in 6 months.
Now: 2018 Mk 7.5 Golf R Grid Ed | Man | White Silver Metallic
Past: 1994 Subaru Liberty RS | Man | White
........2000 Nissan 200SX S15 Spec S | Man | Red
........2011 Mk VI Golf 118 TSI | Man | Candy White
I am partial to the liftback. In version 3 it is rather nice in RS spec.

Saw a candy white, non-tech pack (but post-launch, it had driving mode) candy white wagon RS here in bris. It does look pretty sharp, but I think moon white would have that extra edge to make it feel more special.
I prefer liftback in general, it really depends on which side profile and back you like, plus of course practicality.

MY12 Skoda Octavia RS 147 Black Combi - Sold
That's not bad for fully optioned. I just bought an RS162 DSG wagon for 40K. Had to haggle a bit though. Only option is the auto tailgate. No manuals, which I would have preferred.
Test drive a Golf GTI if you want to try the manual?
Demo bought, or ordered something?
