    Talking New Octavia owner

    Hey there guys.
Just picked up yesterday my new Octavia TSI DSG Combi in Cappucino Beige.
    Love it.

One thing I am having trouble with is pairing my Blackberry 9000 with the Bluetooth. It finds the Skoda_BT, I enter the pin and with a millisecond it attempts and then says it fails.
    Anyone got any ideas?
Have yet to try another phone to ascertain whether it is just the Blackberry
which are pretty unreliable from my experience.

    Another thing is the MDI,
I can get my iPod touch to play song etc but how do I search by list through the car? I can only go from one song to the next, which is very painful IMO.

Been running around a bit last night and this morning and am getting 7.5l/100km which is impressive for a car with only 100+ kays on the clock. ( I have taken the revs up to around 4200rpm ocasionally, as this is where it feels a bit tight). Can't wait to open it up though as I reckon this engine gearbox combo is one of the best on the market at the moment, given its performance/economy ratio.

    Cheers

For anything related to Audio and phone in your Skoda remember also check http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...splay.php?f=78 , if you already didn't. Also make sure that you phone BT is in visible mode for paring.

Can't help withe BT, but re. the MDI (I assume you've got the Bolero system), the trick to searching is to hit "Selection", and then use the folder key at the top left, and back key at the top right to move around. Not as easy as the ipod menu, but not too hard once you get used to it.

    Scrolling is a pain though....

    Thanks for the tip Inego.
It appears that the dealer has fitted an MDI as part of the incentive pack,
but this car was MDI from the factory.

There are two MDI inputs in my glovebox

One I can see the data from the iPod with no sound, no features etc.
The other (the factory fitted one) has data and sound but I cannot do what Inego said to get the list. It flashes up and then returns to the main screen.
    Obvously a conflict/config issue.
Dealer is looking at it next week as they could not complete the window tint in time for pick up.
Will get them to check Bluetooth at the same time.

Dealer fixed all the problems no worries yesterday.
MDI was a conflict as it had two plugs
Bluetooth was due to the manual having the wrong
    pass code.
All good now, as well as tinted windows.

Lemme guess the Bluetooth code: 0000 or 1234?
