So I took the time to unpack the file to an SD card, inserted into my car and told the GPS to check for an update, after a minute or so it said there was a software update available. Took the usual 40 minutes to install, version still says 2016/17 so not sure if it's the same or not, but you'd think the system would know if the update was new or not...

I will let you know if I notice any differences.

I did mine over the weekend too. It took about 40 minutes to update using a Class 10 Sandisk SD card. I left the ignition on, ignoring the warning beeps when I opened the door. As the website says, I tried to minimize the power being used during the process as the engine wasn't running. The only thing left on was the DRLs - but they're LED so shouldn't draw too much power?

Anyway, I took before and after pictures of the System Version screen. It went from:

    0055 2016 ROW 2016 Australia
    to
    0058 ROW 2016/2017 Australia 2016/2017

This was on an April 2016 build RS delivered last month. Looking at the files in the update, the Australia directories had files dated Dec 2015 to January 2016.
