New Nav map available in Skoda update portal

Has anyone had success with this on mac? I can download it to sd but the car dosnt like it.

I'll give this one a go. From my experience they ar locked to the VIN used for downloading and will not work with any other.

Unfortunately it's linked to your VIN, so won't work on other vehicles

Is your Skoda MY15 or later? Don't think the maps are available as a freebie pre MY15.

Still working on the pre MY15 thing. There is supposed to be a dealer dvd update to fix it. It's my understanding that Skoda OZ know about it but the dealer service departments don't have a clue... My argument is; how can you not have updates available at all, even if they have to be paid for it would be almost excusable, but not available! We know the maps are 'available, the one linked above is MIB1 and MIB2.

Yeah mines a 2016 - the file is there to download but it's just corrupt with that error I posted

I just tried the portal again and the download is still working for me. Maybe it's something with your pc that's causing the download error.

Successful today. Mine took 17 hrs to download ... about 2 hrs to unpack to SD card & Under 1 hr to load in to Columbus.

Did mine over the weekend..... left to run overnight, took ages to unpack and then transfer to USB, and didn't time it but less than an hour to update on Columbus.

I REALLY wish we had the ability when choosing to download, to select the countries we require. Ridiculous that we all have to D/L 22GB of worldwide maps, only to install Aus & NZ onto our cars.

Come on Skoda - up your game and give us selectable countries to d/l

I had issues with my iMac, at home I have Telstra cable so 115mbits, but the server these maps are on must have awful upload speed as its always dead slow. They need to mirror it somewhere locally. Mac just drops out, so use my wifes Surfacebook at home.
