Really easy to install... Scotch clips don't work really well, though, due to the thickness of the wires. I ended up stripping the wires and soldering them together.

Mine are attached to the courtesy lights... But be careful, if left on for 2 minutes, they get extremely hot to the touch!!

Hey! Having an iPad, you'll have to get a wifi unit as apple doesn't like using Bluetooth for anything but audio.
I got mine off eBay for $15. ELM327 is the name of the thing. The software I use is Torque Pro... But I don't know the apple equivalent.

Sorry I can't be of more help - I don't have an iPad!!
