MY15 Octavia RS DSG Wagon - Making a funny buzzing noise

I had my RS for a week now, however I notice the car makes a funny noise this morning,

I can only hear this noice when the rev is between 2k to 3k, and only when the car is coasting or under light throttle, under heavy throttle it is not there, and it's a buzzing noise, loudest at around 2.5k rev.

I think it might be coming from the right side of the car, but I am not sure, anyone know what that can be? should I be concerned?

Soundaktor malfunctioning? I'd go to the dealer anyhow.

I was thinking the same thing, so I drive using normal mode with 'D', and I still get the same noise, so I don't think it was the soundaktor.

If that is the case, would it be a major concern? or just something that cause no harm but plain annoying.

Could it be the turbo spool or wastegate? Does it sound like release of pressure?

Mine has been doing the pressure release sound from day 1 and I am certain it is the turbo/wastegate.

Just contacted the Service adviser about this buzzing noise, as there is no warning light, and does not affect the performance of the car in any way,he suggest me to wait until the 1k courtesy visit, so they can try and fix it.

Had the same problem, worst when the car has warmed up, mentioned this to the dealer and I told them possible fuel line rattle. They investigated it, no rattle for 2 weeks then the noise came back, albeit slightly muted. Went back the second time and the car has been rattle free since (they also fixed some rattling inside the passenger door). I don't think it's a concerned, more of annoyances.

Thank you for all the info, I think that might be it. I will mention this to them when I am in for the courtesy visit, in the mean time I will just enjoy every second in my car, perhaps with the music slightly louder.

Hopefully your dealer will be able to fix it for good. The RS is a seriously good car, I've had it for almost a year and I'm ALWAYS looking forward of driving it. It's that good that it never bother me that the sound system has been dead for few months , just you and the car, nothing else to distract the driving experience.
