Heh, yep, most of us have been there - thanks do my dealer making an oops, I had to wait almost 4 and a half months for my little piece of yellow perfection. I tell you what though, once you have it, it is more than worth it!

I hear this one (well, minus the wagon bit) - my partner loves the car but as a Libery owner, refuses to acknowledge Škoda as an option, due to the lack of AWD. We don't need a Superb, so if they put AWD in the Octavia, I'm sure she'd see the light! C'mon...Mitsubishi just released the ASX with AWD for around $30K, surely VW group can let Škoda in on the action!

I am a former Liberty owner myself and I do agree somewhat. The Octavia Scout already exists; how hard would it be to put that AWD system into an RS? I think it'd stop the wheelspin under hard acceleration issue and be super-quick. The driveline tunnel is already in all Octavias anyway. Or maybe a Scout RS? I'd like that too. But come on, the ASX is a compact SUV, not a mid-size hatch/saloon . The ASX is what the Yeti will trounce when it arrives next year! (BTW the Yeti just won AutoExpress magazine's car of the year award! Must be pretty alright)

when is Skoda Australia going to update their brochures to include the MY11 changes?

Across the tasman, Skoda NZ have already published their MY11 brochures, across the range.

we still brochures from 2009 for MY10 specs!!!
C'mon Skoda Oz, get a move on........

There was an AWD 1.8TFSI wagon when Skoda came out, it disappeared when the scout was released. If it had been in RS form, I know a few people who would have bought it.

The MY11 range brochure has been published on the website (well the Octavia range has, the rest of the range hasn't). The 118TSI/103TDI get new 16-inch alloys (a new design which I really like named Proxima) and Columbus sat-nav with the 30GB hard-drive, the 90TSI/77TDI gain a leather multifunction steering wheel, the 118TSI/103TDI lose electric-folding mirrors (Grrrrrr ) and all Liftbacks gain a rear wiper as standard. That's all I could spot, I'm sure that there are more things of interest.

There was also a diesel version. It was the vehicle that first got me interested in a Skoda.

Are you sure? I remember the 4x4 range being the 1.9TDI Ambiente and 2.0TDI Elegance wagons (mostly because we ordered a FWD 2.0TDI Wagon which was taking a while too long so we test drove the whole range, which these were included). Of course, I could be wrong .

There certainly was overseas. I remember when I was living in Switzerland last year that I so an AWD Octavia wagon (definitely not a Scout) when I was out for a walk. It was parked in a driveway so I had plenty of time to check the badging etc.
