Muffled sound from MDI

Hi Guys,

I have a 2011 VRS Octavia with MDI fitted from factory. There seems to be a persistent crackle and muffled sound (music and lyrics) whenever the ipod, iphone or itouch is connected. Have tried different phones and know the sound from the iPhones is perfect.

Has any else come across this issue?

Have you tried a different cable? There may be a broken wire or bad connection in the cable you are using.

Check the AUX input sensitivity setting - this affects the MDI input as well as the AUX input. It caught me out! I was getting terrible distortion until I set the sensitivity to a lower setting (I think mine is now on the mid setting).

Thanks guys, it looks like the AUX setting was set too high. I have set it to low with a dramatic improvement.
