    MODS!!!

Superchips Bluefin! First time ECU mod, and oh my freaking god! The difference!

    42DD MK6 shifter bushings. $60 at Carformance.au

One of the first mods. Installed these leds, $20 on ebay. Look up courtesy lights

Bought these VRS alloy left footrest covers

Mounted to the center column with self tappers. Because racecar

Plastidipped the center. Still need to do the silver trim all 6 parts

Yay! Eibach 20mm Pro Kit! Thanks Mark for the hookup

My third hand pulling down the lower control arm

Soo many hassles getting these off!

This is the tow ball mount for my bike rack. I thought it would be a laugh to weld on a spanner to the bolt that tightens it so it doesn't make noise, instead of using a shifter all the time ahahaha. The manufacturer here in Melbourne loved it (GripSport )

Newer badges for the rear, and also for the doors near the front. Superskoda license plate lights, as well as ebay white led kit for the whole interior ($25 and not pictured)

    $T2eC16V,!zEE9s3!YbEHBR-Ld!HIl!~~60_3

Got one of these little things for $3.66 on ebay lol. Sits around the ignition and looks pretty good imo. Helps the key go in slightly better to! Functional!

    MODS:

    Handmade fibreglass cargo sub box!

This was one of the first projects of mine for this car. A massive commitment time wise, and certainly not cheap, even DIY! But I bit the fibreglass bug and its awesome what can be done! See link below:

My RS Cargo Pocket Fibreglass SUB Build (lots of pics)

    Fibreglass/carbon boost guage pod

This is designed to sit under the silver trim, lower left of the steering wheel, inconspicuously! You can see it clearly through the wheel, but I haven't bothered to install it yet! Doesn't line up perfectly...

Audi S5 18x8 wheelset restoration and Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tires (235/40/1

Found these on ebay and loved how they look. Hadn't seen them in person though. They were $400 and already had 37 watchers on ebay, I thought wtf? Must be pretty good lol, so I bought em quick! I really liked the wrx blue/gold theme and thought it would work well. They had heaps of gutter rash and stuffed paint, so I spent hours and hours sanding and painting them, and putting on some decals, and this is how they turned out:

    Before

    After

    Looks fat now

    Best tires I've had

Did a slight plastidip mod while I was at it

Thought this might look good......... HOW WRONG I WAS. Pressure washer!

    Didn't end up liking this

    MODS:

DIY Fibreglass front lip/splitter/spoiler! This was a big project for me, but done in only 3 weeks! Was a lot of fun and hopefully I don't leave it on a steep driveway or curb somewhere. Now down to 13cm! Also, since taking these pics I've gotten the little corner gaps sorted and mounted a bit better Its still a little rough and there's some light air holes and dimples, making it look semi-pro, but honestly, I put around 45 hours in to it and far out, I'm happy with the turn out, just don't look too close.

    Finito

    First sketches in mdf

Molding the bumper over the EZ lip I had on

    Starting to glass

    Attaching bumper piece to splitter

Filling sanding Filling sanding Filling sanding Filling sanding Filling sanding Filling sanding

    Painting!

You'll have also noticed the new branding from Magneto Industries! I won a $100 voucher from them at the downhill race in Maldon. The blue chrome is pretty sweet.

Also did my bike wheels, forks, and jerseys:

    Front Mini Mud Guards

I saw the Golf mini mud guards that Tarmac Engineering are doing but wanted to save some cash. They protect the skirts and doors from front wheel splash. Took me an hour to make, paint, and mount the set. Will take some photos of it mounted tomorrow. Still not sure wether to keep it under the fairing or not

Simple and precise cutting with a scroll saw

Bent this to shape by hand

    Painting

All done. Not sure yet wether I should have extended it a little lower, didn't look at the Tarmac one enough haha. Will see

    Ski/snowboard racks

Made these for fun. And because Im a tight arse with things I wont use often!
It was made from some no-bolt shelving, door seals, and bolts lying around hahaha. Bolts to the racks in about 5 mins, and takings a couple mins to secure the skis. It will hold 4 pairs of skis.

Love this build and subscribed to see what comes in the future, you almost make me want to sell the Golf for one of these, the misus wants one as well, however I will not be showing her this build thread or I may just wake up to my Golf "missing" haha

Nice work. The blue plastidip looks like a fairly close match to the race blue paint, except for being matte that is
