You cannot speed in Adelaide, and progress is no slower. It was easier in the diesel.
I can better the average but the wife drives the car as well.
Leaving the car with the dealers to investigate the hesitation-when-cold put the biggest hole in my stats though.
Consumption at tickover is 0.4l/hour (0.7 with a/c), I believe 4litre Falcon is about 1.5l/hour.
Cool. So around 650ks in town?
Agree with you about the wife being worse. Mine gets really frustrated because I've always gotten anywhere from 10-20% better than her, despite what she calls 'thrashing it'. Reading traffic, knowing when to coast in gear (= no fuel use) is all I really do. If I make a real conscious effort I can get crazy good economy from our jazz, bit it's so gutless even flogging it that I don't feel safe driving like that in it.
The rs is an unbelievably efficient engine compared to other makes 2l turbo (fraud eco boost I'm looking at you!). Seems to give power and economy, and a lot of people can actually get good economy figures, rather than just hyper milers
