It sounds normal for our 6 speed DSG, the DSG programing of the Gen3 is to be blamed, you are going downhill, so the car goes into a lower gear earlier to engine brake for you, and when you accelerate, it choose the most economical gear for you. I don't like it either, so I put it into M when I am not cruising on flats, much better that way.
Btw, what mode are you running on? Sports? Normal? or ECO?

Hi,
I am noticing lately that when cornering in an enthusiastic manner that I am hearing some creaking from the drivers door. Is there body flex in the A7 Octavia or does the door just need adjusting?
Cheers,
Karl

That's what I was expecting.. What I'm seeing is that they seem stay in that position even after I've turned it off, got out of the car (which it recognises because it turns off the stereo when you open the door), and locked it. I admit though I haven't noticed whether or not they are still like that when I return.

I got my RS on January this year, been on ECO everyday, bit currently just change to Normal mode, i feel that at low speed ( exit out of drive way, speed hump) on few occasion, i can feel a slight bang... which got me scared, so i change to normal mode, although i can feel it seems to consume more fuel on normal mode.

It will be the door seals, you can either give them a really good clean, as sometimes polish/wax etc get on them. Or you can try gummi pfledge. Our Mk2 creaked its entire life when going in driveways etc, but I did note in the manual it says the door rubbers have a varnish on them to stop ice etc sticking to them and not to coat them. Assume the old one probably did too and many people use Gummi Pfledge on them still.
I find my car pretty dark when inside, and realised today while trying to update the POIs that there is actually a light in the glovebox, its just not turning on. Is there something obvious I'm missing or did my car come with a DOA glovebox light?
Anyone getting a squeak when their sunroof is open, halfway or even fully?

Nope but it rattles at the front of it on bad roads when closed. Thats with the screen retracted completely back. I think its the wind deflector bits.
My glovebox light still isn't coming on so guessing its a DOA from delivery. Trying to work out if I can be stuffed going to the dealer after my tint issues to get it looked at.
