Can you see what happens when you turn down the bass - wonder if the bass settings will be radio function or AM/FM specific ?

In my ST, CD, bluetooth, radio, USB all have their own individual equalizer settings.

That's interesting. I didn't realise you could individually tune each sound input. When you say your ST, what is an ST?

Yes, sorry Focus ST .. not many of these on the road and yes, I found it pretty good that individual inputs had separate settings ...

If you mostly listed to AM and don't switch to FM often, reducing the bass levels may work anyways ..

Ah OK. I use the Tapatalk app and mainly access this forum on the iPad or iPhone and signatures do not show. But surely a Ford Focus has a completely different set up to a Skoda Octavia? Does the ST have a Canton system fitted? Turning down the bass I will try...

Completely different system ... But same sort of concept ...

Playing with equaliser (bass) may help with the AM

Hi Afterdarker, see my first post above and I had a similar problem in my vRS. I played around the other day and I may have fixed the issue.

Basically the cover over the centre speaker had come loose in certain sections and it was reverberating with a high pitch during listening to AM only. I placed a finger at different places around the edges of the cover (while radio was playing) to determine where the seal was broken and then wedged a small piece of foam and the reverberation is gone.

I was scheduled to take it to the dealer later this month for the fix but if what I have done holds up, then I will cancel the visit.

I also heard from the sales guy that a couple of Octavias had the center dash speaker replaced under warranty due to rattling issues.

Unfortunately Octavia doesn't have individual equalizer/tone settings for each music source.

Thank you Lucki. Mine seems loose also, well it reverberates. Will follow your suggestion.
