The reason I ask is I now have a bluetooth kit on the way so am going to need a cable to quickly code that in as well as make the changes that have been made in this thread (cornering lamps, comfort indicators, reverse mirror etc)

After hours of research I'm not having much luck in finding a place to get the cable from (without it costing more than the bluetooth kit itself!) to be honest I don't even really know what to search for as I don't know what connection type my RS MY11 would have.

You wouldn't happen to be interested in hiring out the cable at all?
The best place to get your cable from is ross-tech.com or our forum sponsor Tim.

Cheers mate, unfortunately that fits into the category of costing more than the entire bluetooth kit will cost me so hard to justify for 5mins usage.

Having a browse through the "who can help" thread on the forum now

I have read many, "it's just too expensive to justify threads" over the years but you buy it once, there's firmware updates you get automatically with new versions of the software and support from Ross-Tech. IT WORKS AS WELL! All the ebay cables have some limitation or other, often not working on anything upwards of the MK4 chassis.

Secondhand cables are always in demand from people who say "it's just too expensive to justify". Buy one today (while they are actually cheap due to the exchange rate) and sell it when you sell the car. Rent it out or take beer for making changes for people.

I wouldn't be without mine and I don't reckon I use it all that much, even with the flashing business going on. It doesn't get used much outside of data logging.

    I saw those options.

My assumption was that you did the coding after the bulb failed - which I thought stupid. Your idea makes more sense.

What I'd really like is to have a tick box so that all the reverse, fog & brake lights come on when reverse is selected.

Cheers mate, Really appreciate it! I've ordered the 9WZ Premium Bluetooth kit from Spain. Paid for it yesterday and heard it usually take 1-2 weeks to arrive so probably some time around then. May as well make the changes you've made on your RS at the same time as well. Obviously whatever works out best for you (can come and pick it up or pay for postage etc)

    Thanks again

I have an Elegance spec. I was trying to avoid a cambelt at all costs..... except it saved me ~$9k

Call by. Bring your laptop & we can install the software & make sure it works. PM me when you are ready.

Wonder if a 9WZ bluetooth works with the Audience HU?

Excellent sounds great, I'll PM you soon, works out well just realised you're not that far away! Do you have the White MFD? as the 9WZ and 9W7 both only work on the more modern MFD. You're welcome to have a play with it after I've got it installed.
