Looks like the premium will be nearly 50k on road. Glad I got the current model with a hefty discount, though the CR Diesel and DSG are definite advantages.

I hope the Yeti with similar specs is at least 5K cheaper.

So I'm guessing the Scout Premium is aimed directly at Subaru's Outback Diesel Premium (and like the normal Scout it'll be $500-ish cheaper)? Seems like a good idea I guess, coupling those options at a slightly discounted price. Are they doing this with the rest of the range? Obviously you can't on an Octavia 90TSI, but a Premium pack with those goodies (plus xenons and 17s) as a $4-5k more next tier model (like Accord Euro Luxury and Mazda6 Luxury) I think would do well here. It'd also add some sort of differentiation to normal Octavias. Superbs, well I don't think they really need it!

The car I would have purchased if it had been available 18 months ago.

OR 6 month ago, not that I would regret buying Tiguan.

Looking forward to the Superb, but I have to agree that the described Premium spec DSG Scout would have won us if it was available at the time.

Although based on current lead times you'd have to order one now for delivery by next Xmas...

Judging by the launch date, if you ordered one now, you will get it around the launch time. It looks like it is coming out at the tail end of production. I'm wondering myself whether some crappy lead times with the Superb wagon recently were due to them ordering a tonne for the cycling which got in front of all the other orders, or where they all Octys? (I didn't see it).

Put two and two together and get 18.

The projected ETA is about the same time as the Yeti is due and the reason for going to the 103CR engine will be to rationalise the engine and drive configurations so that the new Scouts and the diesel Yetis are essentially the same from a maintenance and parts point of view.

That's some great kit. We're looking for a mid size 4x4 for a family of 4 and really like the Scout. Didn't buy due to lack of auto option but haven't bought anything else yet so a March wait is doable.

    Any liks/pics available?
