Hi guys,
Been lurking in this forum for a while and also the Passat forum as well. I currently have a 2008 Passat CC and recently we sold my wife's Lexus GS300 due to our new born son. We knew we needed a wagon and so considered the Skoda Ocatvia RS. After so much reasearch and bargaining we were able to get a 2010 RS wagon in Race Blue with Sat Nav, MDI and Xenon headlight for $43500 drive away. Well today we made the payment so looking to pick up the car this Wednesday. Is $43500 a good price? Anyway justed wanted to say hi and that I can't wait to pick up the wife's new baby. Cheers
Pat

Thanks Jake, yeah I'm really excited about this car. It took a lot of convincing for my wife but I'm sure she will like it. It will be a great all arounder. Will post pic when I get it. I'm glad to hear that we got it at a good price = )
The Octy wagon is a great car for with kids - huge boot that's pretty easy to access. It's a very different drive to a GS300 though - so get ready for the complaints about noise, and probably the rough ride.....
Brilliant Silver Octavia Scout 2010
Welcome!! I have a Race Blue RS, MY2010, no options though, and the price you paid is excellent, you should be very happy!
I have 2 kids under 3 y.o. and find the RS to be absolutely perfect for us - my wife thinks it's a dream to drive, loves the looks, it's small enough for her to handle in carparks etc, safe for the kids to travel in, huge load space for prams and bags etc... and when Dad wants to indulge in a little performance driving, the RS turns from capable family hauler into a time-bending, corner-carving demon!!
You will not stop smiling for months (if at all)!!!
Thanks agian guys. Comming from a VW background I knew that the Skoda would be just as good but without the price tag. Although I love the GS300 the boot wasnt adequate. And the Lexus metal body isnt thick like european cars so it would get dinged quite easily. I cant wait, just more sleep but I guess have to take it easy for the first month since its got only 5km on it = ) Our other options were Citroen C5 wagon or the golf GTI. THe GTi's boots was too small and the Citreon we werent sure with the reliability and the quality. Hopefully the wife will like the Skoda = )
Ok we received the car on Wednesday and I have to say I love the car. But most importantly my wife loves the car as well, it is her car by the way. Its a perfect blend for performance and practicallity. We love the boot space when loading the pram and other goodies. The only thing I have to complain about is the harsh ride n the road noise. Looking to add bluetooth in next for the wife. Any recommendations?
Well I have to say thanks though to Wes from Trivette Skoda at Blacktown. His professionalism and care factor is what made it easy to sign the dotted line.Eventhough they haven't been around for long you can tell that Wes has had alot of experience in this field, and so he tells me = ) All in all I highly recommend Trivette Skoda Blacktown and if you are the market for Skoda or VW commercial Van give Wes a call.. Anyway here is some picture of the skoda next to my Passat CC. And the last picture is a little teaser to what my Passat gets to park next to everynight. Enjoy!

imho, the RS looks better than the passat
I love the skoda but I wouldnt go that far. The CC is my baby, best bang for ya buck car there is. The options are awesome and the list goes on but I do love the RS = )
That is a lovely range of VWAG cars in your driveway and I must say they all look good. Especially that CC bodykit! Oh, and the matter of (your?) Conti GT .
