a big relief eh, knowing that its been built. reading all those horror stories (on briskoda forum) about build weeks being delayed here, there, everywhere, made me very uneasy.

have u been given any more details, as to where the car is now, or when it might ship out?
i believe there is a ship leaving mid next week - i'm hoping that's our ride.

when i called skoda oz, quoted my vin, they said u'll get the car in nov.....that's it!! no further info?!?!?!
Yes I am a releived mine and my feet are well on the ground.
I have been advised the following on delivery etc 10 weeks freight & 2 weeks Patrick autocare 72Hrs Pre-Delivery and Rego at the Dealers (Trivetts)
So it should be the last week in November just in time to pick my mother up when she arrives.

PS: Liked the footer so copied it a bit......

there are 2 ships leaving next week, bound for oz, arriving 30 & 31st oct at port kembla.
fingers crossed we get a spot on either the tamesis or otello.

    tamesis - via USA
    otello - via south africa

the asian king left last sat on the 6th, but i highly doubt mine made it on that.
it due to arrive here on 14th oct.

SKODA vRS147 - i didn't realise how similar our cars are. looks like week 35 was "build yellow octavias" week!! lol

I think that the Skodas always come via South Africa they stop there and drop some off the WA, SA, Vic and NSW.

The ships that I have looked at the have brought Skodas to Australia have never gone to NZ. From Australia they go north to Asia and Japan.
I won't say they always go that way but the ones I have looked at do.
Either way it doesn't really matter the travel time would be similar.

Yep it is certainly looking that way, should go down to the dock on arrival and see how many come off.
Gotta admit it is not the most popular colour over here - i have only seen one on the road and a few in various showroom around the country.
At least my wife will be able to spot me coming more easily when it arrives as at the moment i am driving a grey one and it blends in with all the others. LOL

    I'm happy to see that.
I would rather they tested cars for crash worthiness before they sold one to me thank you very much.
