Insurance - Who insured with who?

    Hi all,

Just for my reference what insurance companies are people using? With all the modification going around who best to use?

I am currently insured with AAMI and was hit for additional premium when I added the exhaust not to mention the other items.

    Cheers...Jon

Was with Shannons when I had a modded Liberty. Now with GIO.

If you have mods then it's reasonable to expect an increase in premium - how much did they slug you?

I'm with AMMI also - the premium hit was not bad at all - $585 per year

Progressive Online for the Scirocco and Polo (joint policy) paying $89 a month. No one company could get close to their deal.

    HMMM do the math

    948.51 divided by 12 is $79.04

Insured for agreed combined value of $67,500

Progressive wouldnt even generate a quote for me, nor would Youi as Passat was worth too much for them

    NRMA for mine!
I'm an under 25 p-plater, so it would be around $4k/yr to insure me for the vRS... But with my mother's no claim bonus and policy benefits its down to around $1,200! Couldn't ask for better than that.

Would be around $400/yr if I were over 25...

Hillbilly & scratchyratface - come to Sydney & try & get those prices. Even Melbournites have it cheap compared to SYD. Prices are always meaningless in insurance threads.
