Probably as the companies have to flog off the yellows at a discount to move them. Mazda didn't stop making the flagship yellow lux sport for no reason and they were pretty popular. Skoda on the other hand stopped getting them in as they were a dog to shift.

I have a black car again as my work car and did find our black pristine 6 had trouble selling compared to a blue similar to the Skoda.

The reason could be that if you want a yellow car there's few to choose from and that pushes the price up compared to a grey one of which there are a lot to choose from.

I had a yellow BA XR6 ute and yeah ill agree I got my asking price for mine when I sold it which was higher then others I looked at. But I was also told by a dealer that the yellow utes were the most popular and they couldnt hold them in stock. But many ute driver are the sort of people who would buy a yellow ute!

this message thrown at you from the window of my flying Golf!

    very true.
people who get yellow seek out to get it, and hence will b prepared to pay the asking price....when they eventually find one!!

I ordered mine from factory because I wanted a yellow liftback. I was not prepared to wait/hunt for one to appear on the dealer/2nd-hand market, even though I waited 5 months for mine to arrive.

as a floor stock, yellow is very hard to sell. someone needs to walk into that showroom wanting yellow.

if a buyers wants black/blue/silver/white/grey - they have plenty of choices, new or used.
    the same can't b said for yellow/orange.

Wish Skoda would still allow yellow as a special order.

I'm not surprised black is at the bottom of the list. It doesn't wear well and shows up even minor scratches - usually looks daggy after a couple of years use.
