    between $18-$30 depending on what engine you have. Should only use VW OEM or one of the OEM suppliers.

    Fuel Filter depends on what engine you have - it's all in your Service Handbook.

    I'm not quite sure what this has to do with oil analyis - plenty of service threads in the Skoda section that would be more relevant

    Thanks for the advice. Local spare parts place has the filter for $18. I was surprised they had it in stock.

    I realise that its off topic but it was originally in the sticky thread and was moved here

    That is true, and given the choice, I would also use 504 oils because two things.

    Firstly, the VW 504.00/507.00 spec guarantees a level of performance not required for the VW 502.00/505.00 spec, and that it's difficult for the consumer to ascertain which 502 oils can perform as well as a 504 oil.

    Secondly, it appears that Euro 4 oils (e.g. 504 oils) are better at minimising valve deposits than Euro 3 oils (e.g. 502 oils), which is a key issue for direct injection engines (e.g. FSI, TSI, etc). I've noted that many product information sheets specifically highlight the oil's ability to minimise valve deposits.
