Do you mean the chrome boot strip? I was thinking more of a rubber flap - check out number 2 on page 17. But the ones I've seen are a heavy rubber that flips over before you put anything into the boot.

The very reason I bought the RS Wagon again when I came to Oz.
Had one and before that a couple of MKV Gtis in the UK.
You can have a Gti and one kid and still go away on trips but with two young kids it is a bit of a squeeze. No such worries with the RS wagon - I have never managed to fill the boot!
Anyone with a Gti who lover it and is only getting rid of it due to space needs an RS wagon. 8/10th GTI with all the space you need.
Skoda Australia should market the rs in that way.
I asked about this already, and Skoda Au has not made it available for Australia as yet. I actually asked about a lot of the accessories, and most were not available, including a second bag hook for the liftback.
This was just after I got my car in May. I'm hoping that this has change...
This has been my experience as well. I wanted a fitted boot dish. It took over a month a get one in. I would have bought from Europe but the site of the dish meant shipping costs were prohibitive.
For what its worth I have a rubber mat from supercheap under my boot dish. I left a bit of the rubber mat sticking out and I can fold it over the tailgate if required.
Thanks Kiwi. I must be blind. It's not quite what I'm after. I was thinking something that flips over the whole arangment so I don't gouge the bumper or plastic boot lining. I think if thats the oficial stuff, I might go to clarke rubber and see if I can get something really sturdy that I can cut however I want. It'll look a bit bodgy, but its better than a 30 kilo cricket bag smashing into it. :D
