Fuse box

Installed westfalia tow bar and CANBUS wiring harness recently. All working except pin 9, permanent live. Octy RS mkii. Had factory tow prep. Looking at the inside fuse panel there are supposed to be 15A fuses in spaces 43,44, and 45, however there was no fuse in 45. I put one in but nothing. Tried, albeit rather hastily, to remove fuse panel to see if that port was wired at all... No success at removing the fuse panel and can't see behind due to location where no45 is. Will try again when I have more time. Where's my power?! Have a 12v ciggy port in the boot I may use instead... Maybe. I'm not ripping apart all that trim to run 1 wire. Any thing from anyone? Yes I have a light caravan with 12v lighting and a fridge... Would be nice to use until I get the batteries and 200w of installed.

Checked pin 9 (permanent live) to pin 13 (ground) with my multimeter and its live. Pin 10 (live on ignition) to 11 is not because that has not been connected, no surprise there. So it must be in the caravan 7 pin plug that the lack of connection is occurring. More investigation. Good to know.

I reckon I'll rewire the caravan from 7 pin to 13 to resolve this. Small trailer all works well, it's just the power. I'll also install the westfalia charger cable, pin 10 and 11, live on ignition. I'll get there in the end. I find it amazing that all of the required info is not located in one place.

Not sure what the details of the issue at the car end are for you, but we've used the 7 pin caravan plug for years to run the fridge, it's pin 2 on the 7 pin that has to be live for that to work. Most trailer plug wiring in cars doesn't do this, you have to request it.
