    Fuel problem 07 RS

My petrol RS developed a stutter quite recently. It felt like water in the fuel. It would cough and die, sometimes when idling stationary, other times when motoring along. It would nearly always restart immediately. Until one time it wouldn't. Sunday morning in Castle Hill I pulled up in the parking area at work, switched off and went inside. When I came back out I had all sorts of trouble to get it started. I called road side assist, who sent a van and then a tilt tray truck. They took it to a dealer in Blacktown.

Got it back Thursday. Fuel pressure sensor they said.

Thank God for 3 year warranties!

How do I not see you? I go to school in Eastwood for crying out loud!
But I'm glad it worked out. Also, question: What's Trivett Skoda actually like? I know they're very new, but is there actually a dedicated Skoda section in the showroom yet (when I went out, it was all Honda)? Glad to see they're out there .

We live in Epping. My wife drives it most days, she works at Royal North Shore Hospital. Travels along Epping Rd. The dealership has plenty of Skodas outside, but is full of Hondas inside. I might use them for annual servicing as they are a lot closer than Burwood. They washed the vehicle and blacked the tyres as well as the (no cost) repair. I couldn't get out of them whether the 4 days was waiting for parts or diagnosis time....................

5 months left on the road side assistance, I'm wondering if they offer a renewal.

I would imagine the 4 days was because they are inexperienced with the vehicle. A VW dealer would have diagnosed it on one day, ordered the part in and then got you back for it to be replaced on another day rather than keeping the car for 4 days.

I concurr with all this inexperience thing.
However, the car wasn't going anywhere without the parts. It was a tow in job. I could have used it in the intervening 3 days if they'd diagnosed and got the bits in sooner.

On another tack, when the vehicle was originally delivered it came with numberplate frames advertising Datsuns which had been installed by someone with one leg shorter than the other, i.e. about 5 or 6 degrees off level

Yeah my rear plate is crooked, hoping its that the plate wasn't drilled straight and not that they drilled wrong into the back of the car.
