FL vRS - Blue bulb in headlight enclosure

I have a 2010 Fl vRS Octavia wagon with Xenon headlights.

I am curious as to what the blue bulb in the enclosure is. I can see the Xenon low beams, halogen high beam, yellow indicator and a BLUE bulb up the top that I can't get to turn on and I have no idea what it does.

Is it something that is disconnected for the LED drl's or is it a sensor for auto?

    Thanks,
    Cameron

    bingo!!

on the vRS, the same LEDs used for DRLs are also used as sidelights (in dimmed mode).
as result, the blue globe is disconnected/disabled.

You can pull them out and put them in your boot for a whiter light there
