Will have to see if some water repellent will make them usable, otherwise teflon blades?
lol....i forgot to mention that as one of the cons. my rear wiper did that alot yesterday while driving around in the rain. at times, it looked like it was having a fit!! even my 1yr old in the back found it strange. funnily enough, it was smooth as silk this morning!!!

the front wipers feels "jumpy" at times when set to auto (#1 position). its as though its constantly thinkin "should i wipe now? yes go go go.....no wait. let me check again.....ok, go go go"!!! bhahhaha. the auto wipe is a very handy feature. i toned its sensitivety down though - put it on 2nd from left.
i'm thinking something like rainx on the front & rear windscreens will ensure a smoother operation.

as far as rattles/squeaks go - i'm clean so far. touch wood.

Every brand new cars wipers have been like this for me.. I simply use a carnauba wax and new sponge pad orbital buffer on the front and rear glass in the first few days, then they are dead silent and smooth as silk.

Works a treat, and you dont need to do it every few weeks like rainx

Remember to take them off before to go in for service or go to the tyre joint.

They don't get stolen but what happens is the guys take them of to check pressure (or fit new tyres) and just throw them in a box and then reach in and grab the first one that comes to hand when they refit them.
SWMBO has metal valve caps and is anal about them. I can't say how many sets I brought before she got into the habit of taking the metal ones off before services.

I had titanium ones on my Octavia and never had a problem with them being stolen, i guess it depends on the shops/workshops you take your car too.
