    Facelifted (AGAIN!?) Octavia spied...

I happened to stumble across these photos today on my web travels. The article is about about the facelifted Superb, which is arriving early next year. However I noticed in one of the photos, there is also a silver Octavia Wagon being tested sporting a new face hidden with camo. Skoda is seriously milking this current Octavia for all it's worth! I would have thought that an all new model would replace the current one, but clearly not?!

    Here is the website...

European manufacturers tend to work on an 8 year cycle.

    New model released
    Two years - minor facelift
    Four years - major update/facelift
    Six years - minor facelift
    Eight years new model

It does vary a bit from manufacturer to manufacturer but it's fairly consistent.

It's the Ford B-MAX, a compact MPV based on the Fiesta. Don't worry, we won't get that here .

Road testing vehicles with a simple cosmetic change always baffles me. Why would you need to? Suggests more than facelift?

I think it's more than just a face lift. We are looking at a totally new model. This picture is taken by my fellow Skoda fan club member in Germany, abnd they are expecting new models in 2013 (unconfirmed rumors though....).

Looks like Skoda has taken up the VW's current fashion, a more edgy, clean line. I like the new look of the Octavia as it has taken care of the worst part of the current Octavia design, ie. making the B-pillar black so it doesn't look like a late 90's Astra/Vectra.

Also looks like they have finally just got one designer for the Roomster rather than one for the front and another for the back.

I don't like the new look of the Yeti though.....

It depend on how much they change, it could effect cooling, handling, noise etc.

i think its funny that they go to all the trouble to mask over thr front and back, but then still run Skoda Auto number plate frames!

Are we of the opinion that the sedan is the superb and Wagon Octavia?

That Superb looks a lot like the older Superb.

Cant see much change in the front of the Octavia though.

    Ever heard of deliberate leaks?
A lot of these type of shots are just publicity shots designed to raise interest and speculation.
