Hi folks, I know some of you have ETKA access. I'd appreciate some help. Had my car in today and suspect they may have replaced the wrong parts on my dash. Supposed to replace the panel between dash and screen to fix a rattle. Parts list indicates 2 "speaker trims", probably the demister vents. Numbers are 1Z0819695A47H and 1Z0819696A47H. I'd like to be wrong but suspect I'm not.

Cheers, hard to be sure but looks like I'm right. If anyone has access to English version, even better. Closest I can get via Google translate is 'aperture'.
Going to be a fun conversation. "I was extra clear NOT to replace the vents". "No you weren't". "I sure as hell was, repeated it several times" etc.
I'm pretty sure that fix is to change the demister vent from 1 peice to a 2 piece, which fixes the noise:
in which case they have fixed the correct thing.Creaking Dashboard - De-mister Vents
The de-mister grid is composed of a decorating metal grid and a plastic grill. The different thermal properties of both materials as the consequence of the temperature changes in the vehicles interior causes' movement between the upper and lower part of the defroster grid. The frictions of both parts may produce loud cracking noises. Replacement grids of part number 1Z0 819 695 A 47H - left side 1Z0 819 696 A 47H - right side should be fitted. Yep, it would be except that was already done before under warranty. That's why I insisted they not do it this time. It isn't the problem - that fixes a kind of crackling sound when you start the AC and cold air comes through.
