My buying something within the next few weeks isn't related to end of financial year/tax reasons, rather that I've been spending too long researching different options and am now getting pressure from wife to hurry up!
was in same boat as you! ended up purchasing the same car you're after as well (90tsi wagon special edition) yesterday. effectively paid $21750. got to that price point with very little work, so guessing there was more in it. but it's very good value at that point, so didn't really feel the need to push hard.

Nice work. I'd be happy with that price too! Did you negotiate any extras such as mats/cargo liners with it? Did you have many colour choices?

i didn't negotiate mats, but the guy i was dealing with afterwards (paperwork etc) told me they'd throw some in. cargo liner, i'm not sure. i believe the cargo cover comes standard with the wagon, if that's what you are talking about.

for colours, i went with the platin grey. you shouldn't need to pay any extra on metallics for these runout models. i believe the black, grey, and a greenish colour were also available in that configuration (manual, wagon, limited edition). this was richmond (zagame) skoda. nice enough folks out there.
