thought so. I'd think that the vRs is 90% of what the GTI is (overall sporty package); the Elegance spec is 10% down on the vRS and from what the Tiguan felt like, it was 10% less than the Elegance spec Octy.
Babies have so much junk they "need" to take with them.
The memory is rusty but in the last 13 years of "kid ownership" we've had:
Nissan Bluebird U13 (fantastic with a bub but the boot opening was too small for those silly big prams new mothers insist on buying);
VX (?) Commodore S (did the job just fine);
2000 Camry V6 wagon (fantastic);
Toyota Avensis x2 (better than fantastic);
Holden Captiva 7 seat diesel (pretty good but Avensis was better);
Mitsubishi Outlander 2.4L petrol 7 seater (shocking layout & not terrific overall);
Gen2 Subaru Legacy (pretty good);
Mk3.5 Golf Cabrio (suprisingly accomodating but boot opening too weird);
VE CalaisV (no better boot access than the Golf);
Skoda Octavia Hatch (pretty good but the kids are starting to complain about legroom).
It sounds like I'm anal about boot openings but with 2 kids, there is so much gear you have to load/unload that it becomes important.
Calais will be gone in about 2 months, we'll see how a Mondeo wagon stacks up.

I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
